The difference between each of these is the way in which your aim accelerates. So in Overwatch, Devs have decided that one Aim System is not complicated enough, so let’s have multiple of those! And most importantly: “LET’S NOT ADD ANY KIND OF EXPLANATION BECAUSE… LOL” So we distinguish 3 aim systems which have been added at different points in time. I might even say some wrong stuff and apologise in advance! Again, if there’s anything you would like to correct, don’t hesitate! This is inspired from a previous topic of mine which got a lot more attention than I thought it would be. It will be a verz dumbed down version in terms of explaining. I am not a developper, I am not an informatics genius, so the explanation I will provide, hoping that’s what will make it even more helpful, is that it comes from an amateur with little to no knowledge on the technical side of things. This topic will be GIGANTIC, so be prepared, if you’re tired, bookmark this and read it another day, take notes if necessary and if you know stuff I don’t, don’t hesitate to share. However, for those of you, who, like me have been struggling a hell of a lot with Aim settings in OW (And I’ve been playing since day one on console!), I might be able to help you on your path to find an appropriate setting. Try flying with the sliders in various different positions to see what setting works best.Let me start right off: As it stands right now, Especially if you’re used to ANY other FPS game, you will hardly be able to find a perfect aim Setting.
#HOW TO ADJUST JOYSTICK SENSITIVITY FPS FULL#
This gives the user plenty of fine-tune control near the center of the flight control envelope to hold altitude and roll precisely, but still allows for full control authority at the extremes.
Thus, the controls will be dampened for the first half or so of their travel and then become hyper-sensitive for the remainder of their throw. Keep in mind, however, that in this case, the remaining 90% of the control surface deflection must take place in the last 50% of joystick movement. This will dampen any aircraft movements and desensitize the user’s controls. In this case, a deflection of the joystick from center to its halfway point may only deflect the aircraft’s controls by 10%. As these sliders are moved to the right the response becomes curved. This means that a 50% deflection of the joystick will deflect the airplane’s flight controls 50% of their travel.
If these sliders are set all the way to the left, the aircraft’s response to that axis’ input will be completely linear. The three sliders in this window control the response curves for the pitch, roll, and yaw axes of the joystick. To modify the joystick’s sensitivity, press the Control Response button at the bottom of the Joystick settings screen.
